~The New York Times | EVERYTHING ABOUT SCHOOL (almost) is a delightful look back at a graduating class's elementary, junior high and high school days where lasting friendships were built and memories were made.
The production begins with graduating seniors reminiscing. Soon, their third-grade selves appear, and we follow them from the year of crayons and cookies to that of Clearasil and college applications. The show includes hilarious songs like "Can't Keep Still," a number about fidgeting that develops into a lively tap-dance routine, "I Hate Gym," where a clumsy student applies mathematics to sports and learns to love physical education, and "On the Menu Today," a salute to cafeteria food that has the cast holding up placards that spell out 'Call 9-1-1.' “Several composers contributed to the score. The Locker Song by Eric Rockwell (music) and Margaret Rose (lyrics) is a standout. It cleverly conveys the crush two teens have on each other. 'What a combination we could be' they sing.”
