The little kids audition for the big-time show
"The musical, which evokes everything from swing to Cole Porter, will introduce young theatergoers to unfamiliar rhythms as well as a new vocabulary. But most of all Golly Gee Whiz! will prove that the Happyville folks are right: there's no underestimating the power of youngsters to put on a rousing show."

The patriotic finale!
Golly Gee Whiz! is a family musical based on the classic Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney films of the 1930's. It is 1939 and even the town of Happyville is depressed. Especially the kids. But what can a group of kids do to change the town's economy? "Hey, kids let's put on a show!" says Mickey. "I know, my father's got a barn!" exclaims Judy. The idea is that it'll be such a great show that folks will come from miles around to see it, and re-establish Happyville as the bustling town that it once was.

Mickey and Judy sing 'Gee, You're Swell!'
“While parents will enjoy the musical’s ironic humor, kids will take its ‘go get 'em!’ attitude at face value, as well they should. The show harkens back to a more innocent era. We could all use a reminder of those times these days."
